Radon is an invisible radioactive gas that has been found in homes all over the world.  It comes from the natural breakdown of uranium in soil, rock and water and gets into the air you breathe.  Radon typically moves up through the ground to the air above and into your home through cracks and other holes in the foundation.  Your home can trap radon inside.

Any home can have a radon problem. This means new and old homes, well-sealed and drafty homes, and homes with or without basements. In fact, you and your family are most likely to get your greatest radiation exposure at home. That is where you spend most of your time.

The Environmental Protection Agency rates Radon as the second leading cause of lung cancer and recommends that all homebuyers test for Radon.  If you would like to know more about Radon and Real Estate transactions, click on this link to the EPA website at:

We perform Radon testing with a top-of-the-line Continuous Radon Monitor.  Our monitor takes hourly readings and prints out the results in a graphical format.  We get instant results at the end of the testing period as compared to other tests that have to be sent to a laboratory.

It takes a minimum of 48 hours to perform a radon test.
